![]() I think Arturia makes some of the WORST emulations on the market of pianos, Hammond, electric piano. Which is drum specific.Ĭaveat: what I'm about to say applies to "non synth" keyboard instruments.as I use el dicko for synth sounds-and I'm not sure I'd be any good at tell a good one from a bad one. Or you could buy the NI Battery instrument. Speaking of drums there are lots of options in Kontakt as well. ![]() The Spark drum machine with Arturia is pretty great, I've used it on a few album tracks. ![]() But it is a problem with software and gear in general. The problem with a big library like Arturia is some of it doesn't get played. If you will actually play and use this stuff it becomes valuable. I think I got it for $89 or something like that. I own IK Miroslav also which is a virtual orchestra that is in the IK Sample Tank platform rather than Kontakt. I tend to use these more than the Arturia stuff. You could also look into some single soft synth instruments, of which there are many. But the idea is to start somewhere, start with something. If you need a keyboard to play, that is a third thing to talk about, I guess. I haven't tried the big Arturia keyboard midi controllers. Plus Rhodes, organs, stuff like that.īoth are great. Also meat and potatoes drum and bass stuff, etc.Īrturia stuff is just kind of basic synthesizers. Cinema sound libraries with big price tags. This covers not only synthesizers but orchestras and things like that. It's great but it's gonna be expensive if you want to build a library. Kontakt seems like a really expensive worm hole to go down. ![]()
